I’ve been riding the the Best GP for 2 seasons now and could and not be happier with them. Last year in my opinion the Best GP 2014 was a great kite, but it definitely wasn’t for everyone. You either hated them or you loved them. Well good news for the people that didn’t like it, because this year I would say they pretty much scrapped the Best GP 2014 and started again. If anything it is more similar to the Best GP 2013.
Build Quality
The build quality is well up there. They use the latest and greatest materials and you won’t find a stitch out. The valve system is great! They’ve continued to develop it, making it easier to use and more durable than last year.
Control system
The control system is clean, simple and durable. The depower system is the same as last year. Best uses an above the bar cleat system that is very functional. They also changed the bar ends to a bar end that is moulded into the floats. Again, the real let down is that release system. They really need to do something about this, because if it’s not cleaned regularly it can jamb. Well there is good news, the word from Best is that they are developing a new quick release and they plan to use it in their 2015 line up.
The Best GP 2015 performance
Well I guess you could say it’s your typical C-kite. It’s a very solid feeling kite, with moderate to heavy bar pressure. The pop and slack is just right for passes. The Best GP 2015 has plenty of depower for a C-kite too.
Well must say I definitely recommend trying this kite. If you want any more information about the Best GP 2015 or kiteboarding in general feel free to give us a call or email.
